A Message From Marc D. Miller

Our employees are #HealthcareHeroes, continuing to deliver high quality care despite the current challenges. You are committed, compassionate, highly skilled and dedicated to delivering care that improves and saves lives. Thank you for making a difference to our patients and the communities in which we have the privilege to serve. Please watch the new video montage that defines HEROHope, Empathy, Resilience and One team — and, as our first COVID-19 tribute video, features photo and video of employees from a broad cross-section of facilities.

Fortune Worlds Most Admired Companies 2021In February, Fortune Magazine announced the 2021 World’s Most Admired Companies. I am pleased to announce that UHS has been named to this list for the 11th year in a row. Based upon companies’ fiscal management, innovation, long-term investment value, services provided and commitment to social responsibility, the designation is highly coveted and reinforces our position as a leader in the healthcare industry.

“We can all be proud of this distinction as it recognizes our growth and commitment to patients, employees and the communities we serve.”

CEO and President of Universal Health Services, Inc.

We can all be proud of this distinction as it recognizes our growth and commitment to patients, employees and the communities we serve. To develop the rankings, Fortune identified the 1,000 largest U.S. companies by revenue, along with non-U.S. companies in their Global 500 database that have revenues of $10 billion or more. Of all the eligible companies, UHS is one of only 331 of the most respected and reputable companies named to this list, and one of only # in our Healthcare category.

2021 is off to a strong start as another year of continued growth, operational excellence and achievement of new milestones. We recently held virtual events commemorating the opening of two new facilities that are joint venture partnerships: Clive Behavioral Health in Clive, Iowa (in partnership with MercyOne) and Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri (in partnership with SoutheastHEALTH).

I believe the future is bright — as vaccines are being deployed across the country, we hope to return to relatively normal operations in the near future. Thank you again for your continued efforts.
